Prior to joining the Big Ten Network in March as VP, Communications, Elizabeth Conlisk spent six years at The Ohio State University, serving five years as assistant vice president for media relations and her final year as special assistant to the president for executive communications.

At Ohio State, Conlisk was responsible for developing communications strategies with senior administration officials to improve the university's academic reputation and performance, and worked proactively through the news media to communicate the university's mission and position on relevant issues. More recently, she wrote speeches and helped manage high-level projects for the university president.

She was the founder and president of the strategic communications consultancy Opin!onsPlus from 1994 to 2000. Conlisk also held marketing and communications positions for Enron Gas Services Group and Miller Brewing Company.
